Felix Biancuzzo Memorial Scholarship Recipients for 2010 Announced
We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2010 Felix Biancuzzo Memorial Scholarship to attend Marie Biancuzzo’s Comprehensive Lactation Course: Mastering the Blueprint, Tracy Brundage and Paulina Erices Ocampo.
Ms. Brundage received a full scholarship, while Ms. Ocampo received a partial scholarship.
The scholarship seeks to recognize individuals who are eager to contribute to their communities by providing evidence-based lactation support for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. Ms. Brundage, full scholarship recipient, is currently a developmental specialist in the NICU of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and a member of the Connecticut Children’s Lactation Committee. Ms. Ocampo, partial scholarship recipient, is currently a self-employed doula and childbirth educator in Lakewood, Colorado and a member of the Colorado Breastfeeding Coalition. Both women plan to sit for the ILBCE certification exam in July 2011.
